ACCESSING DATA FILES

How do I log in to access my data file purchase?

Follow these steps: 

Step 1: Go to optumcoding.com/login and sign in using your One Healthcare ID.  

  •  New to One Healthcare ID? See the Create & Manage Your Online Account section within the General FAQ for more information. 

Step 2: Download your product. 

  • Click Optum Customer Portal Sign-in under Your Account
  • If prompted, review and accept any agreements. 
  • On the My Products page, find and select your product. 
  • A Product Details page will load, scroll to the Downloadable Files section.
  • Use filters, if desired, then click Download next to the file you want. Files will download to your computer’s default Downloads folder. 

Step 3: Return or sign out. 

  • To return to optumcoding.com, click your profile at the top right and select Optumcoding.com.
  • To sign out, click your profile and choose Sign out.
Is there a user guide available?

Yes, a user guide is available. After following the login steps in How do I login to access my data file purchase?  You will be directed to the Optum Customer Portal.  You can then download the user guide from the Help link at the bottom of the customer portal main page.

Where are the files saved once downloaded?

Files are saved to your browser’s default download location. This is typically your computer’s Downloads folder..

Can I bookmark the customer portal for easy access?

We recommend bookmarking optumcoding.com and accessing the portal through the site to ensure proper authentication.

Do I need special software to read or access the data files?

To access the customer portal, you’ll need a One Healthcare ID. Please note that certain browser requirements may apply. For more details, visit the One Healthcare ID site and check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section for technical requirements.  

Some files are provided in .zip format. To open these, you may need WinZip or another third-party compression tool. Many operating systems also include built-in support for .zip files: 

Depending on the file type, you may also need:

  • Spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs)
  • A text editor (e.g., Notepad, TextEdit)
